Pearls Planters (2006-08)
On stage, a teenage orchestra, children’s choirs, a conductor, the only adult on the set
This story talks to us about jealousy between brothers and sisters , and also reminds us of this childish imaginary world of monsters, fairies and demons, this terrifying initiating worlds. It reckons us our first loneliness, our first incomprehension of childhood which will never been pacifieds by the deaf and blind adults.
THE SINGING BAND
The company « Voix Polyphoniques » founded « The singing band » in the autumn 2005 (children from 8 to 13 ) proposing a vocal and physical training at the service of contemporary musical theater. « The singing band » includes a permanent team on a weekly basis. 17 children conducted by Marianne Suner
“Some time ago any composer was writong for children voices: instruments of unrivalled limpidity, with such a passing fragility? What i liked in Marianne’s composition, was her instantaneous understanding of this musical instrument and the uncompromised deman of her score. At the same time a right aim and a true respect which lead the performers to a surprising revelation of themselves.”B. Cirla
Tribute to Sergio Ortega, cantates, opéras and films music composer, chilean political exile.
After having been culture minister of Allende government, friend of Pablo Neruda and Victor Jara, he was director of ENM of Pantin until his death on the 15th of September 2003.
Marianne Suner and Eléonore Bovon were his pupils.
